How to check and schedule the software updates installation on your Galaxy devices

Keeping your Galaxy device up to date ensures you have the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. This guide will help you check for software updates and schedule their installation at your convenience.
Note:
- Once your device has been updated to the latest software version, you cannot downgrade to a previous firmware version due to enhanced security policies.
- Your device may restart several times during the update process.
- Menu names, settings, and screen layouts may vary depending on the model and software version.
- Images are simulated.
Check for the software update
Step 1. Open Settings on your device.
Step 2. Tap Software update.
Step 3. Tap Check for updates. If an update is available, you'll see details such as the update size and release notes.
Step 4. Tap Download.
Scheduling the software updates installation
Step 5. Tap Schedule install.
Step 6. You'll be prompted to choose a time for the update installation. Set a time and tap Done to confirm.
Your device will automatically install the update at the selected time.
